OVF ALLIANCE
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
It is our club’s goal to make club soccer an affordable opportunity for all players. No player will be turned away for financial reasons. If you are in need of financial aid in order to participate this season, please complete this application. We have several options available to our families including scholarships, work exchange, and our subsidized uniform program in partnership with Adidas.
OVF Alliance is pleased to offer up to 50% off of player fees for qualifying scholarship applicants!
*Scholarships are provided based on need. Applicants may be awarded scholarship amounts less than 50% based on qualifying information provided.
**Financial Aid will only apply to team registration fees for OVF teams. Scholarships are not available for tournaments or for our OVF North program**

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Scholarships and/or subsidized uniforms are available to families that meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
- Player’s family is enrolled in at least one of the following programs (verification of participation – i.d. card, etc, is required):
- Federal free or reduced lunch programs in area schools; or
- TANF or Oregon Trail Card (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
- SNAP Card/Food Stamps (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
- Player’s family income is below the median family income for Linn & Benton Counties. This must verified by supplying a copy of your most recent year’s federal tax return.
- Financial need due to extenuating circumstances (ex. loss of a job, medical/health issues and expenses, etc.) that may not be demonstrated by the above criteria. The board may request documentation of claims for verification.
In order to be eligible for consideration of an OVF Alliance scholarship, applicants are required to fulfill the following:
- Turn in a completed application and required verification or income tax document.
- Pay the required deposit prior to applying or within 2 weeks of being accepted on a team.
- Make regular monthly payments or communicate alternative payment plan.
**This application must be submitted before completing player registration**
Work exchange options are available for ALL families, regardless of demonstrated financial need. Please fill out this application indicating that you are interested in participating in work exchange, and we will be in touch.
SCHOLARSHIP DECISIONS
The OVF Alliance Board of Directors will make scholarship funding decisions after receiving and evaluating all applications confidentially following each deadline. Later applications are considered if scholarship funds are still available. The award amounts are based on available funds and the number of applicants.
Parents will be notified via email as soon as the review process is completed. Scholarship awards are credited to players’ accounts automatically upon application of the coupon code when completing your player registration.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If offered an OVF Alliance Scholarship, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
- All fees remaining will be paid off by the end of the seasonal year. If the remaining player fees are not paid or a player on scholarship leaves OVF Alliance for another club, the scholarship will be nullified and the full player amount will be due.
- All players receiving and accepting a scholarship are required to participate in fundraising activities as needed for the club in addition to completing a minimum of ten (10) community service hours throughout the calendar year, either with our organization or another nonprofit in the community.
- Regular monthly payments will be made. Failure to complete monthly payments may result in a nullification of the scholarship.
- Communication with OVF Alliance staff if issues, questions, or concerns arise that may necessitate the alteration of the scholarship offered or the ongoing payment plan is required.
- This scholarship fee will NOT be applied to any fees except the regular season player fees. Tournament, camp, clinic, and any other expenses associated with additional participation with OVF Alliance are not included in this scholarship offer.
